I love this post. Thank you for its honesty, Jay. And the link to Jeff Warren. I value your meditative voice, and sense you’ll have a very important perspective in the months ahead.

My own approach has become much more personal than the whole world. I want the bigger change, like addressing (even acknowledging) the poly crisis, but I’m doing what I can to focus on the 1:1 and small group levels. And still just doing my own work.

Thank you so much for your honesty and straightforwardness. I need that. It’s tough times and yet we need to keep being human with each other as we figure out how to do life in these Times. Thank you!

Thanks for this post Jay. I've been on substack for 6 months or so and signed up for your newsletter thinking you would write about or offer teachings about meditation (I enjoyed your offerings on Ten Percent). Then after I read a few posts then skimmed more, I stopped reading your posts altogether because the topics weren't what I expected. I didn't unsubscribe but I did stop reading.

It can be so hard to figure out the direction of should take.

So here's a question: when you think about this newsletter, what lights you up about it? Are your current offerings a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10? What would it take to get it to a 10?

Today when you write about doubt, the doubt of whether this, or you, have the capacity to spark change, this well known Margaret Mead quote comes to mind:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Blessings to you today and all that are reading, thinking, and trying. It matters. You matter.

Thanks for the sky and clouds explanation of meditation - the first time I have truly understood and experienced the value of meditation.
